The first grant awarded was $400 for four years.  In 2004, the VGASF increased the number of scholars awarded to 10 with each student receiving up to $1000 per year – increasing the annual scholarship awards upwards of $40,000 per year.  To date, 529 young men and women in Vermont have received scholarship assistance totaling more than $1,600,000.
