Remembering Bob Sofferman and Glenn Mitchell

The VGA Scholarship Fund has received two generous donation from Paul Sackett of Hinesburg, Vt. In the memory of Bob Sofferman and Glenn Mitchell.  These contributions will go directly into helping the Association continue its  mission of awarding annual scholarships to Vermont female and male graduates affiliated with this wonderful game of golf to help them further their education.  On behalf of the VGA Trustees and the over 480 recipients of the VGA Scholarship that has reached 1.4 million dollars...

Glenn Mitchell

GLENN A. MITCHELL 1936-2018 Glenn Mitchell, a lifelong golfer of distinction in Vermont, died on December 3, 2018 at age 82.  Born and raised in in Washington, DC (where his father, Howard Mitchell, was conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra from 1949 to 1970). Bob Sofferman

  Bob Sofferman 1941 – 2015 Dr. Robert Alan Sofferman tipped in his last putt in 2015 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. “Dr. Bob” was nearly as passionate about golf as he was about medicine.
